Music Ministry 'Round Table 3 days of biblical concepts and practical information, not taught in most colleges, concerning the day to day responsibilities and ministry opportunities of being a minister of music. MMRT Associate: A program where ministers of music with similar size and style of churches can learn and share working (and non working) concepts, encouragement, and "brain strorming" sessions with other associates with the same biblical ministry concepts.
Purpose of Music Ministry 'Round Table: MMRT • The training and preparation of "Ministers of Music" vs "Music Directors". • To assist in the formulation for philosophy of ministry which will prepare one for ministering to and leading the Body of Believers in effective praise and worship, which is conducive to the edification of the church body and the receiving of God's Word through preaching in the public worship service. • To prepare and educate as to the methods of making ministry to the local community and to those participating in music ministry not only edifying to the believers but highly effective in Evangelistic outreach.
Conditions and requirements for MMRT certification: Gold certificate received upon completion of the following accomplishments: Green certificate: The regular ministry of sanctuary singers (at least 50 voices) on a regular basis for both Sunday morning and Sunday evening services. Blue certificate: A rhythm section (keyboard, drums, and bass guitar) and basic brass group (minimum 3 trumpets, plus two of any of the following instruments, trombones, french horns, alto, bari. or tenor saxophones) for all regular Sundayservices. Black certificate: An Evangelistic three part children's choir program. Bronze certificate: Three philosophical programs of evangelism per year for the communications department.
Three way agreement and benefit: Pastor / Church. The pastor and local church agrees: To sponsor pastor and minister of music to first MMRT conference and the minister of music to a MMRT conference every six (6) months as long as productivity and value can be seen taking place in the local church and the ministry of the Minister of Music. The reason for a conference every six (6) months is so that: 1. Concepts and philosophies can be monitored for effectiveness. 2. To tailor programs and implementation of philosophies for your specific needs and potential.
Benefit: Assures church, pastor, and minister of music that the concepts and philosophies being presented are in harmony with their own philosophies. Gives understanding of certificate program as process occurs. Gives opportunity for establishment of agreeable dialogue.
Investment: First year - First time fee of $349.00 for pastor and minister of music; plus 1 additional conferences ($249.00 per conference not including food and travel). Six days a year total. Second year and each year following as long as productive - $249.00 two (2) times per year plus travel and food costs. Yearly evaluation - to MMRT of effectiveness of project.
Minister of Music. The Minister of Music agrees to implement agreed upon philosophies and programs and agrees to be accountable to the local church and to MMRT. This is both responsibility and security.
Benefit: Assures the Minister of Music that he is not a stranded soloist, but has a support team which is in contact with concepts that are worthy of use and have been tried and tested in a local church application. Gives him access to consultation only a phone call away. Gives him support, encouragement, and dialogue with someone who understands.
Investment: 6 days each year of intense practical training and strategizing. Monthly reports on results. Furnishing MMRT with a audio cassette or video cassette of a worship service or choir rehearsal per six months.
MMRT. The Music Ministry 'Round Table covets to be a team worker and joint council with the Minister of Music and the local pastor and to work together to build an Evangelistic Communications Department.
Benefit: Allows MMRT to be a part of spreading effective tools of worship and evangelism, thus becoming a part of a life changing endeavor in these Last Days. Evaluating and strategizing with the Minister of Music on a monthly basis. Availability to the Minister of Music at call. Continual ideas, concepts and strategies for developing the local church's Communication Department.
